Dionna S. Pell, CP, CAS	Dionna joined the Law Offices of Steve Pell in 1989. She is our Senior Paralegal. Dionna is a Certified Paralegal and obtained her credential from the National Association of Legal Assistants in 1991. She is also a California Advanced Specialist Demonstrating advanced knowledge of California law and procedure. Dionna obtained her advanced credential in Civil Litigation in 1995. Dionna was the first Paralegal in California to obtain the advanced credential in Family Law. With her proficiency in the specialty practice areas of Civil Litigation and Family Law, Dionna has been published in various practice guides in her fields of expertise. She has been a guest speaker encouraging students in Paralegal programs and preparing Paralegals for certification examination. Dionna has served on the Board of the Ventura Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. as education chair. She was a volunteer with the Ventura Superior Court's Pro Per Clinic at its inception in 1996. She is Notary Public. She is currently a member of the Ventura Association of Legal Assistants Inc., and The National Association of Legal Assistants.
R. James Peterson, J.D. - "RJ"	R. James "RJ" Peterson joined the LAW OFFICES OF STEVE PELL in September 1998. "RJ" attended Woodbury University in 1973 and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree before attending Ventura College of Law in 1998 where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. While attending law school, "RJ" interned daily in the Family Law Division of the Ventura Superior Court working at the Judge’s direction, and volunteered weekly in the Pro Per Clinic. "RJ" specialized in helping people who lack the resources and skills which would enable them to participate in the legal process, to protect their rights, redress wrongs they had suffered, and to assure them fairness and equity in the legal system. "RJ" has assisted Mr. Pell in over one thousand cases involving: Family law (including Domestic Partners), Guardianship’s, Conservatorship’s, Adoption’s, Juvenile law, Domestic violence issues, Criminal defense including DUI defense & crimes, Contract and Real Estate disputes, and other Civil matters. R. James Peterson is not an attorney nor does he practice law at The Law Offices of Steve Pell.
